Pitch–buyer mismatch
Projects that look strong on the page but miss what commissioning editors asked for this quarter—format, tone, or window.
मंथन
AI that knows what Indian buyers want. Trust infrastructure every pitch deserves. Voice in your language. Built on the side of the writer.
Problem
The room moves faster than your Final Draft folder. Mandates shift, slates turn over, and the only thing worse than a rejection is a pitch that was already obsolete when you sent it.

78%
Writers who’ve never seen a curated map of what actually greenlit in their lane—only scraps from trade headlines.
64%
Drafts shared on email threads with no timestamped receipt, no audit trail—fine for notes, wrong for your career equity.
Thesis
If even one rail is missing, you’re either shouting into a room that stopped listening, or handing over pages with nothing to prove they were always yours.
AI
A story brain that knows your format and lineage—not generic prestige prompts—so questions stay anchored in your bible.
Signal
Greenlights and live buyer mandates, curated and matched to what you’re pitching this week.
Voice
Hinglish and Hindi-first by default—your language, your room—without translating your instinct into someone else’s idiom.
Trust
SWA-ready timestamps, send-to-producer receipts, and an audit trail on every draft you put in front of power.
Who is building this
I am Ambar. I spent six years directing theatre in London — Brecht, Beckett, new writing. I have a Master's in theoretical physics and cosmology from ANU. I have directed advertising films. I have built technology products. I am a student of Advaita Vedānta.
I also run two other ventures — Gourmet Planet, India's premium dining community, and NB by Ritu Walia, a luxury skincare brand. Manthan OS is the third. Each one started because the tool I wanted did not exist.
I am not the top of the Bollywood pyramid. I am building this tool because I have watched too many serious writers — people with real stories, real craft — be ignored, underpaid, and uncredited by an industry that should know better. If you are one of those writers, this is for you.
— Ambar, April 2026
Four pillars
You come from Varun Grover, or Syam Pushkaran, or Lokesh Kanagaraj. Manthan knows the difference. Your story bible grows one question at a time — questions anchored in your craft, your format, and what India actually buys.
A curated database of every meaningful Indian greenlight and every live buyer mandate. Your project matched against what Kuku TV commissioned last week, what SonyLIV wants next quarter, what Mari Selvaraj's production house is reading. Not scraped. Curated.
Hinglish by default. Hindi when you want it. Regional languages in the next phase. An AI that does not make you translate your story into American prestige English before you think with it.
SWA-aligned timestamps on every draft. Send-to-Producer with delivery receipts and full audit trail. Every pitch, every send, documented — the professional standard serious work deserves, for everyone in the room.

MANTHAN
Every question anchored in your bible, your format, and what Indian buyers actually greenlit.
Questions like this, every day. On your project. In your language. Against live market data.
The trust layer
Every call to our AI models includes a no-training flag — not a marketing promise, a technical one. Verifiable in our data policy.
Every timestamped draft exports as a Screenwriters Association-ready PDF — format they accept, signed hash they can verify.
Every pitch you send from Manthan is logged — when it was sent, when it was opened, when the attachment was read. A clean record that protects both sides, the way professional relationships should be built.
Who this is for
You're not writing prestige Hindi OTT with a guaranteed buyer. You're pitching. You're hustling. You're building a career that no one hands you.
15
Kuku TV. Flick TV. JioHotstar Tadka. MX Fatafat. The 60-second hook, the 90-second cliffhanger, the 40-episode arc.
10
Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali — writers pitching Sun NXT, ahaa, ManoramaMAX, Hoichoi in their own language, not translated into Bombay English.
10
Hindi and Hinglish young-adult pilots aimed at Prime's and Netflix's youth slates.
8
NFDC labs, first-time specs, festival-track scripts. The ones who've written drafts nobody has read.
7
Small production houses who read pitches and write their own — the two-sided lifeblood of Indian indie.
The founding 50
We are not launching publicly yet. We are building with 50 writers over 90 days — your feedback shapes what ships. In return, you get the tool free for the cohort period and early access forever.
